No rest for the team as we boarded a plane for Hanoi. A hectic day with the team being taken straight to a practice match against the Peoples Police Academy.
The heat was oppressive and the locals were off to a quick start - the Aussies down 3 - 0 within 15 minutes. The story didn't end there with a fight back to 3 - 3 by half time.
Stronger composed bodies then outlasted youth and speed with the final score being a well deserved 3 - 5 win to the tourists. Great performances across the team but the standouts being Mitchell Henry (S.A), Dale Ohlmus (AFP) and Michael Putson (Vic Pol).
The match was followed by a traditional Vietnamese meal at a 'Beer House' - You can't go wrong there with the Australian Team taking the 'sing off' honours as well.
After composing ourselves we all moved to the Birla Orphanage where we inspected the artificial pitch constructed with funds provided by the AFP, Hilton Hotel and VPSC. The pitch was put to the test and lived up to all expectations.
A long but action packed day.
